OGAESC 2006

30 songs are competing this year on the OGAE Song Contest 2006. Portugal is represented by Rita Guerra with the song “Chegar a ti”.
The CD was given to all OGAE Portugal members at the last meeting and they have now until November 28th to listen to and vote on all the songs.
This year's event is being organised by OGAE Italy that has created a site especially for the contestwww.ogaesc2006.com. On this site you'll find pics and bios of all artists and also the lyrics to the songs.
Let me remind you that OGAE Italy has once again launched the TOP of Europe competition in which you can guess which country will win this contest. Everybody that sends in their guess for a winner is automatically qualified to win a CD of the italian artist on OGAESC 2006 L'aura.

OGAE PORTUGAL HAS CHOSEN ITS LOGO!

It has been chosen the logo that as of now represents OGAE Portugal. On the national meeting last November 18th, 26 members voted on the excelent 21 proposals sent by the members and this was the end result:

IS THERE ANY WORSE?

On the national meeting last November 18th, 10 songs were selected for members to watch and vote for the worst ever ESC entry.
Obviously, the choice of the 10 songs was ver subjective and to prove it were the very diferent votings from the 24 members that joined the fun.
In the end these were the results:
1º AUSTRIA 1988 – 186 pts
2º HUNGARY 1995 – 184 pts
3º TURKEY 1993 – 164 pts
4º LITHUANIA 1994 – 158 pts
5º IRELAND 1971 – 147 pts
6º GERMANY 1998 – 146 pts
7º LUXEMBURG 1985 – 125 pts
8º FRANCE 1986 – 110 pts
9º ICELAND 1989 – 96 pts
10º DENMARK 1999 – 76 pts
This means that of the 10 songs that were presented, the fans that voted found the famous MONA LISA sung by Wilfried the worst of all.
